Advantages: It's French so has a certain je ne sais quoi!

Disadvantages: The quoi turns out to be not so great.

I will keep it simple. I have been to two Cafe Rouge outlets. One in Hays Galleria (near London Bridge in London) and one in St. Katherine Docks (near Tower Bridge, London).

These one would think would be two of the better versions of Cafe Rouge because they are in prime position for well heeled "City" workers.

The news is not good. They charge high prices for most items on the menu and it is in my opinion very average food indeed.

On the menu is a lot of "French" food but to my palate and to my wallet it tastes like food cooked by the English and charged at quite high prices. I am very unimpressed and feel that the restaurant has a nice name, nice image, good ambience but is mainly about style, but food wise is lacking in real quality.

You can find some on line vouchers that offer two for one deals which for me bring the price more into range with what you are getting for your money but in my opinion at full price I will not be eating there unless someone else is paying!!

Summary: Average food at high prices.

Sorry mate, this review is just far too insubstantial to be of any use.
