Newest Review: ... we were served drinks, it took around ten minutes for the starters to arrive. I didn't have anything myself, though I did sample one of my Dad's onion rings. It was surprisingly quite spicy, but not too greasy. Others at the table ordered Garlic Bread, Cheesy Bread, Soups and Small Jacket Potato halves. The starters range from £2.25 - £5.25, and if you've ordered a drink by this point, which ... more  ... costs anything from £1.20 - £3.95, you may already have forked out quite a bit.

Very rarely will I go out for a meal. In fact, it had been years since I'd even stepped foot in a restaurant. When I found out we were going out for a family meal, I was actually quite excited. I'd not heard of the Royal Hotel before, even though I walk past it at least once a week, so there's no surprise that I didn't know they had a restaurant there either; the Café Royal! Though, when I arrived outside the main entrance, it did look quite impressive. To get inside, you have to walk down a few steps. This isn't too practical if you're in a wheelchair or have a baby buggy, and I didn't notice any side-ramps either, although the website does state there is Disabled ... Read the complete review
