Advantages: tasty food at competive prices

Disadvantages: not a lot of seating, more fast foody

The famous Captain Jasper's is a shack situated on the side of barbican in plymouth and is a very interesting place to visit to say none the less. It is a very popular place for people such as students and bikers, it is an ideal place to grab a quick bit of food. It basically is a glorified take-away van as they sell burgers and hot dogs, one thing i do like though is if you order a hot drink you receive it in a mug (a 50p depeosit required). It has an interesting decor of a nautical theme, with seaguls hanging from the ceiling and even the staff wear sailor hats.

If you are after a place to eat your food in a relaxed atmosphere this isn't the place for you, food is done to order where you are given a number and called when it is ready. Defently has a fast food element to it, but with that little extra humour.

The food is pretty tasty and filling and at a reasonable price too, but there isn't a lot of seating, only a few picnic benches to sit down and enjoy it with, but in my opinion the views make up for this. It is defently worth a visit to the ledgendary Captain Jaspers and is open from very early to late, so there is no excuse. Theres no where else like it.
