Newest Review: ... dressed up. I think this has made the atmosphere a lot more laid back and enjoyable. Casa does seem to have got a reputation as a pre-club bar so it has funny busy periods. People having a quick drink on their way into the town forms one busy period, then there seems to be a mass exodus to the clubs from 10:30 onwards. I have heard that they do drinks promotions and have a happy hour on their extensive cocktail menu if you get there early enough. The much renowned Hanrahans has recently changed its name to Casa. I'm not sure of the politics in so far as whether it has changed ownership and such, but I can tell you all about the bar, so pull up a pew! Casa is a rather classy looking building on Glossop Road. About 5 minutes from Sheffield Centre and within easy walking distance of Broomhill, it's a local with a difference! Right opposite the Student Union Bar One, and overshadowed by the Hallamshire hospital, the view from Casa isn't so great so they have really made up for it with the decor.
