A friend and i decided to try this restaurant one day when we were in the Trafford Centre, and since then we have been back many times. Yhe food is some of the best i have tasted and, unlike many Chinese restaurants, they offer a whole range of Dim Sum, as the name suggests. These are the best part of the meal. Some of them look a little suspicious to say the least....(the steamed beef with ginger and spring onion dumplings have been rechristened "the placenta things" by my friend") but most of them are certainly worth trying. As for the rest of the food, well they do a large range of different dishes, including many for vegetarians which is quite rare for Chinese restaurants, and all the food seems to be of very good quality and tastes frankly divine. It is also quite reasonably priced so you don't come out of there regretting having gone because of extortionate prices. The only bad point i have ever come across is if you are in the bar side of the place, don't try the house wine.....it and paint stripper have many qualities in common. So. my advice is if you're looking for somewhere to go to eat when you're in the Trafford Centre, you can't really get better than Cathay Dim Sum.
