Chicago Rock Cafe Reviews

Newest Review: ... we would still be waiting anything up to 30 minutes! This would be very disappointing as there is nothing worse than having to rush lunch and having heartburn for the remainder of the afternoon! ~Evening~ After around 8pm Chicago Rock turns into a party zone and is a must for a night out!! At the weekend it costs about £5 to get in after 9pm and the queue is always huge! The bar area is huge and is lit up with tv's going round showing the music videos for songs the dj is playing. At the far end of Chicago Rock there is a huge screen which also shows music videos, the DJ box and dance floor are also situated there. On a Thursday, Friday... more

The only Chicago Rock Cafe i have been to is in Mansfield so my review is based purely on that branch. Chicago Rock has been in town for about 8 years now and i have been there many times, both in the day and for a night out. ~Daytime~ During the day it is quite quiet and as it is opposite where i work we often frequent there for lunch time staff get togethers. The food has always been quite good but sometimes depends on what day and which chef on how good it actually is! There is a good variety of food on the menu and the portions are good value for money. The main downside is that service is very slow, if we were ... Read the complete review

My first night out in ages since having a baby, I was off out around my local town Bury, the third stop was at Chicago Rock, I couldnt quite remember why I didnt like it before when I went out, the music was jumping the place was packed out, everything seemed in order so I couldnt remember why I hated it so much back then. As we got into Chicago Rock, Bury we made our way to the bar, it wasnt that busy at all at the bar just a few people in front. We stood there waiting, there were 8 people working behind the bar, we were next in line, but did the person come to serve us no, he went and serve somebody who was at the back of us, so again trying to make ... I have been visiting the local Chicago Rock Cafe in Basildon since it opened, not that long ago. At first it was a fun experience, the kids loved the earphones and watching the films and it was very enjoyable. I have found that slowly the service and food has slided downhill, until I now feel it has hit an avalanche. When I went last week not only was a lot of the menu unavailable, but the service extremely slow, with people walking out all over the place complaining. I went this week, thinking maybe it was just the extra bank holidays causing problems - big mistake. Rather than being greeted with the full menus, we were told a list ... Read the complete review

Ok you know by now that I have a thing about good service, as one or two of my previous ops have shown. Hold tight! I am now about to redress the balance by telling you all about some appalling service I received last year. It was my leaving do from my previous job and I so wanted it to be the leaving do to end all leaving dos’ it was, but for the opposite reasons I had hoped for! As a group we had often visited our local Chicago Rock Café for the odd evening out (and some of them were very odd believe me!!) so I thought that it would be nice to go there for my party. We had such a good time when we were there to dance and I ... Read the complete review
