Advantages: None on this visit

Disadvantages: Waste of time and money and still hungry at the end of the meal.

Have been regular customers of Cook & Barker, having a caravan at Swarland. In the last two visits have been extremely disappointed with Sunday lunch.
Yesterday chose roast beef for me and mince & dumplings for my husband. His portion of mince was unacceptably small and dried up. My roast beef was two slices of paper thin beef. The gravy tasteless and watery. A bowl of vegetables was served which we considered only sufficient for one serving plus two halves of roast potatoes - no other potato such as mashed or boiled. Included in this bowl was a piece of screwed up clingfilm!! When we brought this to the attention of the young man, acting as a waiter, he replied "sorry about that". We will give Cook & Barker a wide berth until we get some better reviews. It most probably has a new owner and they do not intend to maintain the highest standards that this establishment has been renowned for.

Summary: Will not be returning to Cook & Barker until standards have improved.
