Advantages: Nice food, cakes and good atmosphere
Disadvantages: Very expensive
I absolutely love Costa Coffee and always go there for a panini on a shopping trip. My sister always requests to go there when she comes to stay and we always have a good lunch.
I always go to the branch opposite Neros and wrapid in Leeds. This is because they have a nice seating area upstairs, and sometimes you can get a comfy sofa each, which makes it more relaxing.
The best trick is one of you go and look for a good seat upstairs and the other gets the food and drinks.
They stock a good range of sandwiches, paninis, juices, water, coffee, hot chocolate and cold coffee flavoured ice drinks.
The staff in here are quite fast, but I dont usually get a hot drink, because by the time its served to you it always seems to be lukewarm. We always just get something to eat.
The best pudding they do there is the apple crumble slice, it tastes amazing. They give you a very small portion for the price but its good for my belly size!
The only trouble with Costa is that their prices seem to be rising ridiculously, you used to be able to eat for about £2.50 for just a sandwich but now a panini costs £3.90! Therefore I only go here for a special treat now. Dont offer to take your friends here for lunch unless they are paying!
I like this branch over other coffee places because it has a more cosy atmosphere, and tasty treats. I would recommend it for special shopping trips not for daily lunch or coffee. Its much better to go to an independent coffee shop for that as its much cheaper.
Summary: I like it on special occassions.
