Advantages: Nice strong coffee, great croissants

Disadvantages: Rubbish bacon toasties, bland environment

A reasonable cup of coffee is served in Costa and its strength contrbuted towards my serious caffeine addiction. My oreferred cuppa at the moment is a mocha, and Costa do a good Mocha, not too heavy the chocolate so that you choke on the syrup, but they do lose points for charging an extra 20p for a bit of whipped cream.

They have a modest range of morning snacks including a delicious almond croissants, but very standard rubbery bacon toasties with a pathetic trace of ketchup.

They score well for having good locations like Waterstones bookshops, museums and train stations and airports, some have a wifi service but this needs to be universal.

Pretty bland unimaginative decour, abit heavy on the faux leather and the brown, although they are usually much quieter than Starbucks which seem to attract a much younger and noisier clientele.

So overall I would say yes the coffee is nice, but overall we are offered a pretty bog standard uninspiring experience, but then that's what happens when large corporate chains homogenize our towns and cities

Summary: only ok
