Disadvantages: a bit expensive, not one in my town :(

I'm really sad that they don't have a Costa place near me. Despite being typically expensive, the decor is really up to date and relaxed inside. As for the coffee it's great! They have a large range of both hot coffees like the traditional cappucino and latte (which tastes extra good) to iced coffees and speciality coffees. They also offer for 10 pence extra to use Cafe Direct coffee in any drink which benefits some of the world's poorest agricultural farmers at little extra cost to you.

As I know from experience, Costa unlike some other coffee shops also do a very good range of cold drinks. They do pressed juices which always taste very fresh and flavoured mineral water which is always chilled. They have a choice of grilled panini sandwiches and italian cakes...and for a change it seems to be that the biggest, cheapest ones are the nicest tasting!!! :) Great for us students.

After all those great things though, Costa has something novel to offer us that regular coffee shops don't have. That is, a few free Italian lessons. On every sugar packet and wooden drinks stirrer there is an Italian phrase and its meaning ranging from the sweet 'What big muscles you have' to the obscure 'Brown really suits you' to the romantic 'I love you'....if only I *could* remember the Italian.

Summary:
