Myself and a friend recently went to The Crystal Palace and what an unexpectedly fantastic night we had! We went expecting a quiet night with good food and a chance to catch up. The good food was a given, it's always excellent quality whether it be eating in the restaurant or getting a takeaway (there's always loads too).
This night was different in that we were asked if we wanted to try the karaoke while we had a break waiting for our main course - so upstairs we went (where we were sure not to disturb other diners) and there we began. We haven't laughed and had so much fun in a long time, Sam (the proprietor) was an excellent host and helped us choose songs that we liked... he even joined in on one or two. Suffice it to say we had a brilliant evening and even carried on after our coffee.
I would totally recommend The Crystal Palace for an intimate dinner or for a party get together - what great fun AND right on our doorstep. Having experienced a "party" night I am looking forward to booking my daughters birthday party and will be recommending the same to friends and family.
