Advantages: Don't even have to pick up the phone
Disadvantages: forgetful staff!
I eat dominos reguarly, and will probably continue to. There is one reason for this, and it certainly isn't the quality of the food or the delightful service I recieve, it's because I can order online and have it delivered to my door.
The ordering online is a big thind to me. I hate having to phone up for delivery because it's very rare that the person I will be talking to is English, and when they're not I really do struggle to understand what they are saying and I end up very confused and it's generally a very unpleasant and disturbing experience for me.
Dominos prices are okay if you collect the pizza from the store, in fact, my local has had a buy on get one free offer on collection practically since it opened, but I don't collect, I get it delivered, and the prices are pretty expensive. Just the other day I payed £18 for two small pizzas. But hey, that's my choice, I could have collected if I wasn't so lazy!
My favourite thing about Dominos is the Garlic dip you get free with every pizza, though I normally have to order another one.
They do a large range of foods, as they do starters, such as garlic bread, chicken dippers, potatoes wedges, and they do desserts, but they are pretty expensive for what you get.
The service....Hmmm! This is where I have problems. The staff are always very nice. They're friendly, polite, apologetic when they get things wrong, but also somwhat useless.
They reguarly forget things when they deliver (usually the drink) which I can get over, but they also need reminding to adjust the price!
Reguarly they phone me after I have ordered to inform me that they are out of stock of the most basic ingredients, only after I change the order to tell me they are out of stock of that also....
The worst experience I had with them was when they failed to deliver atall. I rang them after an hour, and they said they were out of stock of something and they had tried to ring me (they actually hadn't rang, atall, or they had dialled a wrong number, because my mobile was sat next to me the whole time) so I gave them a new order, then rand back an hour later to find out where it was only to be told they are too busy and they'll give me a refund.
The pizza isn't the greatest either. The base is thin when you order a deeppan. If you order thin crust the base is like cardboard. The toppings are equally as thin. They tend to use too much sauce, and the cheese is best if you order a double portion, which you shouldn't really have to do just do ensure you get a reasonable amount of cheese. The other toppings are fine, and you get a reasonable amount on your pizza.
After writing this review I ave left myself unsure as to why I eat there other than the sheer fact that I'm to lazy to go anywhere else.... I think I might start going to pizza hut!
Summary: I really must start using pizza hut!
