Advantages: tasty, free delivery, often have deals or valid vouchers (find them via google!)
Disadvantages: bad experiences for me in past, very overpriced
Dominos is good. Apart from a little italian place i visited when on holiday abroad, Dominos is the best pizza I've had (on most occasions). But it is worth £17 for one large pizza? Well thats a no brainer, no it isn't.
I think of Dominos almost as designer pizza! Just how designer clothes are good quality they arent worth the asking price.
I do eat dominos pizza once in a blue moon but I never get it all full price. If theres a special deal on (50% off for instance) then i may get it.
I'm not sure if it applies to all Dominos as I moved a year or two ago but since coming to where I live now in East Sussex I've found the quality of the pizza to have gone down. Ive been given cold pizzas, often late pizzas and overcooked pizzas. Once my pizza didnt turn up, 2 and a half hours later i rang and 3 horus later i got my pizza. It clearly was exactly the same pizza as was burnt where it had been heated and all congealed.
On two occasions I have got food poisoning from Dominos pizza. I know they were the culprit because on both occasions I wasnt the only one sick. My advice? Dont order pizza with anchovies- these were the cause both times!
Saying this I still crave them and would never turn one down. Maybe its all the advertising gone to my head (Just like coca cola!), maybe theyre as addictive to me as turkey twizzlers used to be (before bloody Jamie Oliver!), maybe its just that delicious dip they serve with it! I wouldn't reccomend to anyone who is struggling with money- its not worthit- but if you're comfortable and feeling a little bit lazy regarding mealtime then check them out.
You can order online or via telephone. I usually take the online route, the menu is pretty simple and easy to use and you can even get a realtime update of your order (is it baking, is it being delivered) which I'm a fan of! The only thing that annoys me is when you go the checkout it asks if you want anything else added to your order with a whole list of things. Upon last using this it asked the same thing after putting my voucher code in but thats all I can fault with website design.
I'd say its definitly one of those things you've gotta taste at least once (with a voucher, not full price!).
Summary: Not something you'd want reguarly.
