Advantages: Quite nice themed interior
Disadvantages: They will overcharge on purpose! & Menu is limited
Dos Amigos, situated in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, is a Tex / Mex style restaurant. The decor reflects the theme with cacti, and various cowboy based effects on the walls.
The menu is fairly limited, but service is quick and staff are friendly.
In my experience, the food is of fair quality - but not exceptional. As a starter, their nachos with cheese and chili offers good value for money - but by comparison, the other starters are quite small and a little disappointing.
Again, the dessert menu doesn't offer much variety, with about three choclate based dishes and a cheesecake offering. Perhaps a speciality board would offer a bit of variety to the place.
For a large group, Dos Amigos can provide a good setting for a meal, but if you plan to go here frequently, you will quickly run out of things to eat on the menu.
On the downside, I'm not entirely sure whether the maths skill of the staff are up to scratch, as extra drinks that weren't ordered can mysteriously appear on the bill - this has happened on more than one visit...
I would give Dos Amigos a cautious recommendation - some dishes are better than others.

Update as of 19/10/08:
Visited Dos Amigos again last night with a group of friends, and we were AGAIN overcharged for the drinks (by at least £10). That is now three times in a row, and can't be a mistake! - have changed rating from 3 to 2 stars as a result.
Summary: Not the best TexMex, but good for a large group
