Advantages: Lovely food and surroundings.
Disadvantages: Bit expensive.
On my first visit to Dublin in 2007, I stumbled upon this restaurant in Meeting House square in the Temple Bar district of Dublin. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my holiday! I now visit Dublin at least three times year and I always go for dinner to this restaurant. The decor is absolutely amazing, it is very minimalist, yet functional. It has wooden floors and bright white tables and chairs. This makes the restaurant very sleek and stylish. However, the focal point for me is the giant hanging baskets placed from the ceiling all over the restaurant. These baskets give the restaurant a sense of comfort and contrast beautifully with the white tables and chairs. As ever the menu is very diverse and there is a lot to choose from. They always bring you a free bowl of homemade bread for you to try before you start your meal and this ties in with the fact that all their produce and ingredients are sourced locally. They always have fresh fish as one of their main courses and serve a variety of different meats from: corn fed chicken,Irish beef, duck and lamb. The desserts are beautifully made and they have an extensive wine list. I would also like to comment that the customer service is efficient and the waiters are always attentive, friendly and warm. I would highly recommend this fabulous restaurant. The only criticism is that it can be expensive, but it is well worth it for a treat.
Summary: Good food, good wine and attentive staff.
