We visited the new Gloucester restaurant soon after it opened earlier this year. It was very good and we planned to use it quite often.
The second time a month later it was mid evening and noisy with a large celebration taking place which spoilt it for us.
Tonight, (July), we decided to visit restaurant again at 8.20pm. Not very busy with about 4 staff not doing much. We stood at the door for a good 5 minutes then someone came in behind us. Immediately they were shown to a table!
What about us .. ignored!! I called to a waiter who didn't understand what my problem was, so I asked for a drink on the house to make up for my long wait. He called a lady who I assumed to be the managaress. She simply said sorry and would not entertain giving us a drink.
At that point we left.
Must confess that the premises was looking slightly tatty in the short time it has been open.

Summary: Standard has slipped in the short time it has been open.
