We have eaten at this "restaurant " previously with family and also at a work "get together " and although not particularly happy with the overall service put it down to " teething problems " due to a new store opening.
I dont think i will EVER with hindsight be so kind again..restaurants should give the best service imaginable at first and maybe fall down along the way !!
I truly believe that being british we give everyone the benefit of the doubt in everyway and doubt ourselves for being critical..even if that is in an advantageous way for the recipient of the critisicm.
The service we recieved today was absolutely atrocious in every way.
The staff were incompetent and the manager...well there are no suitable words to describe the nonentity we were presented with ! anyone who would , when we said we were very unimpressed with waiting over an hour from asking for a seat in an almost empty restaurant, to actually deciding that a complaint was due..when we said that it wasnt the fault of the waitress ( a young girl of maybe 17 ) as we left the restaurant he called after us ( for the benefit of any other unfortunates in hearing ) " she cant be that good if she left you for that long !!
A restaurant run by a manager who prefers the comforts of the bar and its contents to the comfort of its customers is of no use or decor to anyone and should be dismissed at haste by the owners if they value their good name!
In an era and an area where people are earning good money it should be easy and enjoyable to eat out but places such as these cheapen that experience and make me loathe to part with my hard earned cash !!
