on Mothers day this year me and my sister decided we wanted to treat our mum because (not just saying it) she is one of the most bravest people i know if not THE bravest and her love for us both is just so totally unconditional (yeah if your reading this mum lend me a fiver haha joke),....

We both decided to go for frankie and bennys me and my sister. Due to the fact she has been there a few times with her boyfriend and said they do good grub and two because i had never been to one so i went in blind, and after it went without saying that i wanted to tell dooyoo about my experience.

There really are fantastic points about this resturant and also some naff bits .........
Firstly the smoking area is to die for (well the one i went to was), As im a smoker myself it becomes quite a mission for me to feel at ease out and about partaking in habit out and about, must to the dislike of most of the population in this day and age, Tables outside with big massive frankie and bennys umbrellas with ashtrays on the tables they seemed to look after the smoker and also the person who likes to eat outside too which i thought was a good touch on the companies part.
I dont know if it was because it was mothers day but i couldnt believe how massively overcrowded it was and i was overjoyed my sister had the idea of booking our table online before we took my mum there for her surprise because i doubt without doing that online we wouldnt have waited a life time for a table,
I ordered a prawn cocktail starter with a side of olives and a steak for the main which was all yum , i asked for medium rare and i must say the steak was cooked to perfection. My sister is a veggie so she had garlic bread for starters and a salmon main which equally looked delish !!!. My mum had garlic bread for starters and a calazone pizza (a folded thing thats all i could make out it was but she loved it) and my sisters boyfriend had steak along with me,

There was a few naff points , the service is slow, maybe not on quieter days but on this day the service was unbelievably slow, but like i say it was mega busy. What did make me laugh tho is when it came to asking for the bill our waiter was very very prompt with it which did make me laugh out loud and called him money grabbing to which he smiled (all in good banter).
Also its soooooo loud in there with the music its like eating in a nightclub and when someone announced a birthday the cringing music of happy birthday came on full blast and drowned everything else and our chit chat totally out , but i found that amusing in a yukky tacky way .

Would i go back to Frankie and bennys again ??? DAMN RIGHT I WOULD its a good laugh and something totally different to me and i did think the prices were very reasonable for what the four of us paid jointly,with drinks food starters etc all in all cost just over £85 pounds, and i know it sounds mega but thats only just over 20 quid a head, so as a surprise treat to my mum it didnt break the bank for either me or my sister.

Verdict: Great night out if you dont fancy talking while you eat cos you wont hear each other lol Great food , Poor service . fantastic smoking area
