Advantages: Nice Food!

Disadvantages: Custoer Service ain;t very good!

Frankie and Bennys

Silverlink: The service at the silverlink branch is friendly although whent hey are busy you can quite easily find staff don't come back when they leave you to look at the deserts menu for a short time. The food itself is quite nice but customer service could be a lot better.

Newcastle City Centre

Well I book my anual christmas party for all of mine and my boyfriends firends here this year as it was very close to the centre of town being just of Northumberland Street and soo it was easy access for all friends those with and wothout a car. We went one Tuesday night just before christmas and so far the booking hadn;t been too bad except for the fact that if you didn;t request desert and order exactly beforehand you didn;t get. In the opast this hasn;t been a problem as desert could be ordered on the night and onlt main course and starters were needed to be known upon booking.

So I arrived at the restaurant with a few of my guest for the evening and we were shown to out seats. The meal went ok and the food was good. Except the customer service was lacking slightly due to a lack in staff numbers. For a big party before christmas you would have expected dedicated staff.

Upon paying the bill I was able to request that the deposit cheque was destroyed and a new one produced. The bill was about £350 of which about £30 of this was a service charge because it wasa big group. I anded over £280 in cash for the evening nd was then asked for a cheque guarentee card for the remainder of the bill even though they had already seen it upon booking. I felt that large groups shouldn't be paying such a large service charge unless they have dedicated staff. Also requesting the cheque guarentee card after being handed such a large amount in cash was in my opion a bit over the top.

My conclusion for Frankie and benny's is that if you fancy a night out during the week with less than 6 of you then it's a
nice restauraunt. But I won't be booking this years christmas party there. Also normally there is an incentive for the party organiser to book there, like a free meal, these offer niothing like that, so whats the hassle of giving our buisness to them...nothing in my opion!

I'd have rated more highly if you'd included some info on the food!
