Advantages: Fantastic tasting ice cream

Disadvantages: Price

G&D's have a number of outfits in Oxford, and this review exclusively refers to the shop on Little Clarendon street. G&D's is all about great tasting ice cream, and from this perspective, they get it exactly right. They've successfully grasped the Oxford market by the throat, and there's very few students at the university who can say they've never tried a G&D's product. One of the best things about G&D's is the student participation; a book in the shop invites requests for different or new flavours, and students also have the chance to submit and coordinate their own ice cream flavours, which are then put up for sale in the shops. The result is both a sense of community, and an ever-changing menu. Both of these are great for business.

G&D's is a great ice cream, and the only disadvantage to speak of is the price; £2.15 for a single ice cream cone is expensive, but seems to me a small price to pay for the taste sensation that follows as you begin to eat it...

Summary: Quality ice cream, but only just at student prices
