Advantages: Comfortable, very good food, well -located, easily to find information about.
Disadvantages: Not very cheap.
I went to Dublin to study english and stayed there for a month. I stayed in a family house and tasted Irish food, traditional dishes, and even chinese food for dinner. For luch, as I didn't knew the city or even a good restaurant, I usually stopped in one of the many Burger King restaurants they have in the city centre. So a friend suggested having luch in Temple Bar and I went there. Easily found this restaurant, with a traditional old fashioned facade that made me remember the historical Dublin photos I saw before arriving in the city, when planning my trip. Inside the restaurant you have a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, completed by a traditional ornamentation with tradtional Irish music. Tradition is everywhere: the wall, the furniture, the music, the food. The perfect place to taste sorts of delicious Irish food. There you can find food for all taste and age as they have a special menu for children. You can also taste a good wine or traditional beer. As food options you can taste from a sandwich to salmon. THe menu offers various options of starters, salads, stews (I righly recommend the Murphy's Beef Stew), Boxty Pancakes (which are tradtional potato pancakes, cooked on a griddle) that can be found in several different dishes, and other food and drink options .
About the price, it's not as cheap as fast food of course but it's cheaper than many other restaurants that don't have such a comfortable atmosphere or such a good food. It values!
It's well-located, offers different menus, has special offers (3 course menus for a special price), it's comfortable, and it's ornamented to make you go back in time. Ideal for tourists or family lunches or dinners.
It's easy to find information about it to and to have a good idea of the price and kind of food, as they have a website. So just put this name in any search website and you'll see the restaurants official website, where you can find photos, access the menus, make reservations, see the restaurant history, read reviews, and access youtube videos.
I enjoyed a lot my experience there and I came back there several times. Hope you enjoy yours too.
Summary: A very good experience and a very good choice for a traditional lunch or dinner in Dublin.
