Advantages: good quality of food

Disadvantages: noisy, smokers

Gerrard's Corner is a middle-sized restaurant in Gerrard street as the name implies. This opinion is based on one visit. I will add more information as soon as I get it.

ATMOSPHERE:

The decor of the restaurant is quite nice (pale green). When we first went there, we saw mainly European people there, which sometimes tells about the quality of the restaurant. But not necessarily. They do not use paper napkins, but one made of cloth. The chopsticks are made of plastic. Unfortuately we were surrounded by smokers and its a little bit noisy. But still the atmosphere is ok.

TOILETS:

Toilets are quite average. Not very clean, not very dirty.

QUALITY OF FOOD:

We ordered an Aromatic Crispy Duck which was very good. They gave us 6 pancakes with it. We asked for 2 more, for which they didn't charge us extra. Jasmin tea was nice too. I had sweet/sour duck with pineapple/ginger taste. Which was a little bit unusual, according to my taiwanese wife, but my European tongue liked it. ;)

PRICE:

Jasmin tea cost 60p. The Crispy Aromatic Duck is 6.50 pound. They add 10% service charge.

SERVICE/STAFF:

The food was served quickly. But when we wanted to pay it took some while. On the whole it was not very personal but not rude like in some other restaurants.

THE DAY AFTER:

No problems with stomach.

On the whole its worth a visit even though this is not one of my favorites. See my other opinions about China Town restaurants.
