My Nan recommended GBK to us after my boyfriend mentioned how much he likes burgers. Living in Bristol, we have 2 GBK restaurants - Park Street and Cabot Circus. We have only ever visited the Park Street restaurant as it is always quieter due to most people eating at the Cabot Circus venue after shopping. There are 49 GBK restaurants in the country. *GBK Background* Gourmet Burger Kitchen originated in New Zealand and they aim to use the best ingredients available to create and extensive range of freshly prepared burgers. The menu is refreshed twice a year (Spring and Autumn) to reflect the change in seasons, ingredients and customer feedback. I ... Read the complete review

GBK has 49 branches all round the UK, but the one I have visited the most is the Brunswick Centre branch in London. GBK are one of a few companies recently who have tried to get burgers out of the "fast food" bracket and into the "burgers can mean quality" bracket They only sell burgers, along with accompanying sides such as frieds, salads or coleslaw. The menu consists of 13 beef-based burgers, 4 chicken-based burgers, 5 vegetarian burgers, 3 specialty (chorizo or lamb), 1 buffalo burger, 1 boar and one Organic Moroccan lamb. They also sell 4 'small burgers' which I suppose is aimed at children or people who are after a lighter bite. All ... Read the complete review

Gourmet Burger Kitchen The Gourmet Burger Kitchen is a chain of restaurants that specialise in, you guessed it, burgers! A good deal more salubrious than your average burger chain, GBK excels by doing simple things surprisingly well. With minimalist décor and an unpretentious menu, the quality of the burgers really does speak for itself. The Restaurant I visited the GBK in Beckenham High Street, so this section of the review relates to that particular branch. The inside of the restaurant was clean and stylishly presented. I was half expecting it to be a 1950's American themed affair like so many other burger places but ... Read the complete review

The thing I like about Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) is that it is a burger place that actually has put some thought into catering for Vegetarians. Im not a militant Veggie - I dont eat meat myself, but I don't go on about it and dont have any problems with people eating meat at all, its just a personal choice. However, one thing that does annoy me is that when eating out, the only vegetarian options available in places such as Burger King, McDonalds or The Fine Burger Co. is a deepfried mush of tasteless vegtables sandwiched between some lettuce and tomato..... Just because I dont eat meat doesnt mean I dont like food! The guys at GBK have taken this into consideration. ... Read the complete review

When you search google for GBK part of the text reads "The name speaks for itself" and Time Out Magazine have claimed that they make "The most gorgeous burgers in town". The last time I read such a pack of lies I was looking at an article which told me I couldn't possibly loose money on property, and we all know how accurate that is. I went to GBK in Edinburgh with my fiance, as I had never been before and I LOVE burgers. I could consider myself to be a burger connoisseur and thought I was in for quite the treat. Alarm bells started to ring when I saw they didn't do a bacon cheese burger as a full burger set menu item, as I consider it to ... Read the complete review
