Gourmet Burger Kitchen, or more commonly known as GBK, is an upmarket burger restaurant specialising in a range of delicious burgers with beef chicken, lamb and vegetarian options. I first visited one of these restaurants in London and I was enticed in by the warm, welcoming and down to earth atmosphere. Upon being seated, I was asked whether I'd visited a GBK before and then told that when I was ready to order I could do so at the till. This is similar to the system in place at Nandos which I enjoy as there is no rush to order, you can simply go to the till when you're 100% sure what you'd like.

The price you will pay for a burger and chips on average is £10 which seems huge in comparison to an all familiar mcdonalds or burger king. However, these burgers are in a different league; with extra toppings such as bacon, mushrooms, avocado, pineapple, cranberry and sweet chilli, you can create a beef/chicken/veggie/lamb burger that suits you to perfection! When you order a beef burger you are asked whether you want the meat rare/medium or well done, this just reflects the freshness to which these burgers are created- the taste just like steak in a bun! GBK also does delicious homemade milkshakes (think and in a huge can) as well as a range of homemade sauces to accompany your meal such as garlic mayo.

To overcome the prices GBK has a range of deals such as the current 2 for £10 on all standard burgers (all proceeds go to charity) and they accept taste cards which let you eat at a 2 for 1 price, perfect for dates or quick afternoon bites with friends! If you have a GBK near you a would definitely pop in for an ultimate burger experience you wont forget!
