We went to the new GBK in the Metrocentre, and I have to say, after the inital excitement of seeing that a GBK had opened in the region, we were left very disappointed! First of all, upon looking at the menu, the average price of the burgers was somewhere around the £10 mark (that doesn't include chips or any sides or anything), you then had to pay a ridiculous amount for extras - e.g. £1.65 for ONE slice of cheese.

Service was slow, it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks and when the food did finally come out, it was very average. The burgers were both overcooked - although they had said that the "standard" way of cooking them was to cook them medium, and the chips were just plain old oven chips.

I'm glad we tried it just to see whether the fuss about this place is justified but I wouldn't go back. The Handmade Burger Company is cheaper and does bigger, better burgers!
