I regularly visit one of the two Greggs in my home town in Chelmsford. There is always a good selection of hot pastries including sausage rolls, cheese and onion pasties, vegetable pasties, steak bakes, chicken bakes and my new favourite which was recently introduced the fajita chicken bake.

They also sell a range of freshly made rolls, sandwiches and baguettes whatever tickles your tastebuds - my favourite would have to be the pesto chicken baguette!

Their belgian buns are the best i have bought from any bakery, and they sell a range of other baked goodies such as doughnuts, cookies, muffins, cream cakes as well as freshly baked bread to take home.

I think Greggs is very competitively priced with some sandwiches less than £2 and many offers in the store - you can buy two of most of their pasties etc for a slightly reduced price.

The only gripe i have is if you want to buy for a large amount of people or perhaps a few cakes for an office birthday you cannot pay on a card - they onlt accept cash payments. I'm not sure if this is throughout the whole of the UK but certainly at my two local Greggs this is the case.

If you're looking for a substantial lunch, elevenses or just a quick snack throughout the day Greggs is a great choice!
