Advantages: Some of the best quality products

Disadvantages: Not the biggest of stores, can get cramped

Greggs the baker is the local baker that can be found in almost all big cities and towns. In Cardiff I know of four stores under the Greggs brand, which would seem quite a lot. But just goes to show the popularity of the store as they are able to maintain such a high number of stores in one city.

The products that are sold in the stores are the usually bakery items, such as pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and sandwiches. The majority of the products that are sold in the store are of extremely high quality.

The items that I purchase most often from the store are sandwiches and cakes, as both are fresh. As the sandwiches are freshly made on the day and at the end of the day there are the odd sandwich left over the price is reduced. Another thing that I like about the store is that the pasties are baked freshly in the store within view of the customers and when they are just taken out of the oven the smell of freshly baked pasties whiff through the store; the only problem is the smell makes you hungrier as you wait in the queue.

The staff in the store near me are some of the friendliest that you will ever meet, as they always have a smile on their face and if they do not have a product, such as a sandwich on display, they are always more than happy to go and make a fresh one for you.

One of the problems that I have with the store is that they have stopped selling the product that I most like, the party pasties. The party pasties were mini pasties that were sold in a pack of six. These pasties were cheaper than the bigger pasties and it meant that you could always go back and have one now and again and not have to have a full pasty.

Another slightly problem is the stores are often not the biggest, meaning that at the busiest times of the day, lunch time, the stores can be a bit cramped, with people having to queue outside of the store. Which is ok if it is not raining or shelter is provided but not when it is pouring down and you get soaked.

Overall I would recommend the store to anybody that does not want to take a lunch to work or does not want to prepare a lunch for themselves on the odd occasions. As all food products are freshly made at the store and are reasonably priced.
