Advantages: Best things on offer are the cakes and cookies

Disadvantages: The sandwiches are far too normal

Greggs the bakery is a great place to go for a cheap and quick lunch if you're out and about. Though often the lunchtime queues are horrendously long and you'll have to time your stop very carefully if you're in a rush.

The sandwiches:
These are made with freshly baked bread and there are many types available from the tuna crunch sandwich to the sweet chilli chicken wrap. Apart from the nummy tasting bread there really isn't anything too special about these, with a little effort you could make your own.

The pastys:
These are usual on a buy one get one free offer. The vegetarian one is delicious, filled with potato and carrots and a slight spicy tang. The cheese and onion one unfortunately tastes too much of cheese and not much onion, so usually I have to make sure to add tomato ketchup to add some flavour. Sadly the same has to be said about the chicken pasty.

The cakes:
My favourite is the chocolate gateaux; at about only £1.99 it's a horrible temptation to begin a perfect lazy weekend. Probably wonderfully and horribly unhealthy, the cake is beautifully soft and the buttercream is rich and scrumptious.
There are also loads of great cookies, cupcakes, muffins and random sweet baked treats on offer.
