Advantages: Low priced, tasty food with lots to chose from

Disadvantages: Busy all the time

I think Greggs is the best bakery around and I have been a regular there for years. They must also be very successful as they seem to be everywhere, I live in a smallish town and there are two straight opposite each other, in bigger cities they are all over.

They sell bread, pastries, pasty's, buns and bread. Everything is fresh and very tasty. The sandwiches are made in the shop and they will make you one while you wait if what you want is not available, there is a huge range to chose from and they are cheap usually priced between £1.50 to £3.

They have even started to have a breakfast range and you can buy bacon or sausage sandwiches, but my husband has had one of these and says they wasn't very nice. You can have a tea or coffee to go with this as well.

There is a wide range of buns, all the nice cream buns you can think of, these again are reasonably priced at between 50p and £1. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and have tried cream buns from everywhere and none are as nice tasting or as cheap as these, vanilla slices have got to be my favourite. They also sell things like muffins, douhgnuts and my kids favourites ginger bread men.

The pasty's section has a wide variety of pasty's, everything from sausage rolls to cornish pasty's, steak bakes, cheese and onion. These are always nice and hot but they do have cold ones for children if you request.

They also sell drinks and crisps as I think a lot of people who work in town will probably call in greggs for their lunch, maybe thats why it's so busy at dinner time.

How busy it can be has got to be a negative they are often waiting outside the door at my local greggs. I think the staff can sometimes be a little un-friendly too but that is probably because they are so busy, they don't have the time to stand and chat.

The one thing that annoys me is that they changed its name, I still call it thurstons all the time and cannot get into the habit of calling it greggs even though it was probably years ago when it changed.

The best bakery around, tasty, convenient, low priced food.

Summary: A great place for buns, bread and pasty's
