Advantages: Delicious hot and cold and sweet and savoury food, good prices

Disadvantages: Not as wide a range of products as some bakeries

My husband and I go shopping in our local town centre most Sundays and we're normally out over the lunch period meaning that we usually get hungry while we're shopping. Gregg's is always the first place that we'll go to whenever this situation arises and they make great food at good prices and it's hot food on the go that will warm you up in the cold weather.

Gregg's is a bakery that sells things like sandwiches, rolls, hot food, drink, doughnuts, cookies, muffins and lots of other cakes and sweet items that you can buy in a bakery. Their hot food is what we buy most from there and you can get things like sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, pizza baguettes, cheese and onion pasty, vegetable pasty. They do a sausage and bean pasty which doesn't sound that tempting but I tried one yesterday and it's actually really nice. It contains small pieces of sausage and baked beans and, although it does taste a little like baby food, inside the pastry it tastes really lovely.

They also have a breakfast menu which includes things like bacon and egg roll and other typical breakfast items but I haven't tried anything from their breakfast menu but I'm sure it would be just as nice as the rest of their food.

Their iced buns are gorgeous - really sweet and doughy with a huge heap of icing coated on the top. Their jam doughnuts are also really tasty with a very sweet and fruity jam inside and the doughnut covered in sweet sugar.

Most of their products have an offer on where you can buy 2 of something for a certain price but even bought individually, everything is a reasonable price. Iced buns cost around 50p and the savoury snacks cost between 60p and £1 and I've never seen anything in there that I thought was overpriced.

For a sweet snack or savoury snack, or something hot or cold, Gregg's is a great place to drop in to. You can see them making their food in store so you know that everything is cooked fresh which makes the place even better.

Summary: A yummy bakery
