Greggs in general
Advantages: Good quality food
Whenever I pass this shop I just have to pop in and buy something as the smell usually tempts me as I pass or I see someone eating out of the paper bag and whatever they are eating just makes me want to go buy something.
There are lots of stores all over the country and the stores have been around for many years when John Gregg first opened his first bakery in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1951 and after his death his son Ian took over the family business and opened shops all over the country and made it as successful as it is today.
The shops are quite small and are usually found on the High Street or shopping centres, you do not travel far when out shopping before a Greggs is found, the stores sell lovely tasting sausage rolls, meat pies, pasties, cheese straws, cakes, biscuits, crisps, sandwiches and lots more and a large varieties of products to eat as snacks or take home for meals but with myself, they do not last that long as I cannot resist them.
Quite often they have deals where if you buy a single item, they offer a price for less if you buy 2, and so it makes sense to take this offer as it can save a lot of money and the taste of the products are such a high quality, they are excellent value for money.
They use the best quality flour and it is milled from specially selected wheat to make the Greggs products one of the best tasting products on the market.
They sell a wide variety of drinks, hot or cold and the coffee beans they use are 100% fair trade.
The sausage rolls have a lovely texture and melt into the mouth and the bread for the sandwiches have a very fresh bread and the filling is a very good quality too.
The prices are very good and a sausage roll would set you back around £1 for 2 if you take a deal price and for sandwiches they can cost around £1.50 depending on what filling you choose, they all are placed in a paper bag to take away and have for your lunch or to take home and eat later.
The muffins are delicious and light and there are lots of variety of flavours to choose and that is the only downfall, what to choose to eat, everything else about this store is excellent, and they are well worth a visit, and you will not be disappointed in my opinion.
I sometimes work away from home and these shops are very handy for myself to just pop into and buy something for a mid morning sandwich and a drink or something to take back to the hotel to eat for a snack later as I always like to eat lots of snacks.
I recommend these stores for anyone to pop in and buy a nice tasting, good quality product.
I rate it 5 stars.
Summary: Really good tasty food
