Advantages: Reasonable prices; great tasting snacks/bread and cakes

Disadvantages: Cannot sit down and eat

Greggs are a super little bakery shop. I am always going out and about doing bits and pieces of shopping. There are very few places that I like to go to and have lunch or get a takeaway during lunchtimish hours. On of these believe is Mcdonalds. One of the other places is Greggs. The unfortunate thing about Greggs is that you cannot sit down in there and eat. However, they have some lovely food in their Bakeries and most at reasonable prices in my view. They sell a range of rolls , baguettes and sandwiches (although I think their baguettes are a little expensive).

The foods that I usually buy in Greggs are the following;

Sausage Rolls; I love their sausage rolls. They are about 70 pence per Sausage rolls or you can buy more and get them cheaper. They are very tasty! Greggs Sausage Rolls are my sons favourite.

Steak bake; Plenty of meat and lovely thick gravy inside.

Cheese & Onion Bake; Lovely and cheesy!

Tottenham Cake; I don't know why it is called Tottenham cake; but I love it. Tottenham cake comes in a large square portion; really nicely wrapped. It is delicious moist sponge with a pink soft icing topping.

Apple Danish; Talk about fattening! But lovely. This is my partners favourite; Occasionally I will buy this for him as a treat. You get loads of apple in this pastry; its sweet with a bit too much icing, but its good.

Chocolate Muffin; This is my daughters favourite; if we go to Greggs she usually asks for this. They are huge and very chocolaty.

Greggs do plenty of other cakes and savoury snacks. They also sell cold drinks and soups. They do a good range of freshly baked bread and rolls too.

Regarding queuing; I would recommend getting there just before mid day! They don't seem to employ that many staff and I have found that there are usually only 2 people serving. However, it is worth the wait if there is a long queue!

You will find Greggs in almost all major high street shopping areas.

I am going to give Greggs the full 5 stars because I think they deserve it. If you want to know more about Greggs they do have a web site; http://www.greggs.co.uk/

Summary: A super bakery shop; I wouldnt want to be with Greggs.
