Greggs in general
Advantages: wide selection breakfast deal
Disadvantages: meal deal more expensive
I do love my local Greggs! I have recently been taking my lunch to work these days to save a bit of money although on the odd occassion I've treated myself to something out of Greggs for lunch or breakfast, to be honest Its the only place I like to go!
I think it is great value for money, i like the quick and efficient queuing system and all the staff at my local branch are extremely friendly.
In particular I think that the breakfast deal is GREAT value for money. You can pick up a hot filled roll (sausage/bacon) with any hot drink (tea/coffee/hot choc) for £2.00 not often you get those sort of prices these days.
I must say however that I was recently disapointed to find out that lunch time 'meal deal' for £3 has changed. For those of you who don't know you used to be able to pick up a sandwich, crisps and drink for £3 (selected lines only) although now its £3 for a drink and 'meal deal' sandwich and you do not get any crisps. I also noticed alot of the previous sandwiches that used to be in the meal deal offer are not any longer so there is less to pick from and you are getting less for your money than you did previously.
I like that Greggs have such a wide selection of lunch time food/snacks ranging from the typical filled roll/baguettesandwich to hot pizza, sausage rolls, pies and hot savoury filled pastry lattices.
Despite the above point being made about the meal deal going down in value i do not feel guilty getting the odd lunch and always have change of a fiver, will mark down 1 star for the change in their meal deal.
Summary: A firm favourite
