~ ~ The Grey Door is located right in the centre of Georgian Dublin, at 22 Upper Pembroke Street, just off Pembroke Square. It has two restaurants, the upstairs being the most stylish, (and most expensive) and the downstairs Bistro, called Pier 32, being more informal and easy going. ~ ~ The “posh” upstairs restaurant specialises in Irish, Russian, and Scandinavian food, and is blessed with the services of one of the best chefs in Ireland, Michael Durkin, whose individual interpretation of traditional Irish dishes (such as coddle, a cabbage and potato based recipe) is renowned throughout the country.
