-Location- Haache is located on Inverness Street, behind the market stalls in Camden Town. It's a very short walk from the station and very good location if you're visiting any of Camden's markets. -The Restaurant- I really like the way that Haache is decorated, it has a very modern look and a cozy feel to it. Lighting tends to be quite dim with a lot of smaller lights around the restaurant. I actually don't like this much because dim lighting makes me sleepy and I usually go to this restaurant in my lunch break. Eating a big burger makes me tired enough without the dim lighting! But overall the decor is pleasant. For the most part Haache is quite spacious. There are a few tables at the front of the restaurant that feel a bit cramped but if you get a table at the back there is plenty of space. Seating is very comfortable and soft and the chairs have plenty of back support. I have always found Haache to be very clean and well presented. -Food- The food at Haache is very expensive. I always order the same thing, a burger, chips and a coke and it costs around £11. Although the food is very expensive I think it's completely worth it. It's not the kind of place that I would eat at regularly, purely for the fact that it does cost so much and I couldn't afford to eat there often but it is great for a special occasion or a treat. The burgers are nearly always cooked exactly how I like it. I always order my burger medium rare and there has only been one occasion when I thought that they had over cooked. It still tasted great, I just prefer for it to be less well done. The Steak au Naturel (or normal burger as I call it) comes with salad and the special mayonaise. I can't comment on how good their special mayonaise is because they put so little of it on the burger that I can never taste it. I've actually started to ask for it without the mayo because it seems pointless to have those extra calories if you can't taste it. For me the reason why the burgers are so superior to other cheaper places is that you can taste that it's obviously made from a decent part of the cow and not just all of the left over bits, it's always cooked to your preference and the bun is always lovely and soft without being so soft that it falls apart. The chips are french fries style, very thin but very filling. The portion sizes are very good at Haache and I usually can't finish such a big burger and a whole portion of chips to myself. -Service- The service really lets the restaurant down. I can forgive slow service when the restaurant is busy but there have been times when we've been the only people in the restaurant and service has still been very slow. The waiting staff are all polite but most of them seem quite moody. It's rare that you get a smile or a friendly comment from them. There have been at least three times when they've got our order wrong and then acted like we were the problem. When there are problems with the food (which is always due to the waitress getting our order wrong) the bare minimum is done to fix the problem, they usually get the order corrected but it's rare to get an apology. -Overall- I really enjoy going to Haache because the food is so good. Unfortunately it has to be a treat because it's so expensive but it's totally worth paying the extra money for a great burger. The staff at Haache do let the restaurant down slightly but in an area where customer service is generally poor you just get used to it.
