Such a big disappointment. I don't often write restaurant reviews on Dooyoo, but I have to warn people off Hamburger Union at Tottenham Court Road. We showed up around 20h30 on a busy Friday night, but there was just one member of staff on the tills. Her service was perfunctory. Drinks came from the kitchen (slowly) and were phenomenally overpriced for soda poured from cans and cranberry juice from an Ocean Spray carton. I ordered a large Monterrey Jack burger and my friend had a chicken burger. My burger was just horrible. Poor quality texture and overcooked (can't a gourmet burger bar ask how you want your meat?). The cheese and burger bun were ... Read the complete review

Whilst on a short break in London recently my family and I were looking for somewhere to eat in the West end and came across HAMBURGER UNION in Garrick Street, Covent Garden. None of us are great fans of burger "joints" but decided that we would give it a try, as from the outside it looked modern and clean and although busy not bursting at the seams as some place are up there. Burgers were ace!
I couldn't stop smiling and neither could the waitress.
The malt smouldered inside.
Recommend for the ambience (Though Eds has better shakes).
C YA!

The first time I went to Hamburger Union was with two girlfriends, and another male friend, after we had seen a glowing review of it in Dooyoo. Since then I have been back once, introducing odd people to it, and this review is based on the last time I went there, which was today (!), with a male "work" friend, and two girlfriends. Hamburger Union is a restaurant with a fast-food side. The place is layed out over two rooms; the first one being where you order and the second one being where you eat. As you walk in you are faced with a fast-food style counter with a menu written above it. You order your food and pay here (though we sat down first!), ... Read the complete review
