Holland Park, the largest park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is situated close to the Central Line (Holland Park) and Circle Line (High Street Kensington).

The district was rural until the 19th Century and was first opened in 1952. Holland Park takes its name from Sir Henry, Earl of Holland who formerly resided at Holland House.
The remains of the house form a backdrop for the open air Holland Park Theatre which hosts the Holland Park Opera. Within the former ballroom of Holland House is the Belvedere Restaurant.

Holland Park is a perfect place to escape the bustling city, it is home to a variety of wildlife, including an abundance of squirrels and peacocks and a multitude of beautiful plants. The Japanese Garden and Rose Garden are wonderful features within the park.
The park is remarkably known for its romantic surroundings, secret hideaways, woodlands and famous Orangery.

Facilities include an adventure playground, tennis courts, squash courts, football pitch, toilets, cafeteria and a youth hostel.

Situated around Holland Park are High Street Kensington and Notting Hill and the world famous Portobello Market, where there are plenty of shopping opportunities and places to dine or relax with a drink.

Summary: A great London Park
