Advantages: Excellent for families, value for money.
Disadvantages: none
My family and I are regulars at our local Hungry Horse restaurant. Not all but most of these pub/restaurants have a playing area outside which is great for the children. They have a fantastic menu with such a huge range of meals, from italian, curries, steaks, all day breakfasts...you will be spoilt for choice. I regularly have a twenty ounce steak with all the trimmings for around £10. Their plates measure in at a whopping 17.5inches,so you can imagine the size of the meal. The childrens menu has a greater variety than I have seen anywhere else. The puddings have names like 'Dirt and Worms' which is enough to put me off but the kids love it.This is a chocolate pudding, with jelly worm sweets in. The Hungry Horse are offering a Christmas Day set menu again at a great price, you must book before November the 5th. These restaurants offer smoking and non smoking areas. If its great value, superb food and an altogether family welcome you are looking for then head to your nearest Hungry Horse!
