Advantages: Wonderful flavours

Disadvantages: None, other than too far from home!

Aahh, what a pleasure to find a little gem of a restaurant in Central London!!! Food is described as Indian street food or Indian Tapas (if that's not a misnomer). No matter what it's called it's different and, moreover delicious. Two thirds of the way up Wardour Street it is closer to Oxford Street than Shaftesbury Avenue convenient to Regent Street but handy enough for most of the Theatres.
The décor is modern with crisp fresh look to it; I found it very comfortable and convivial. A lot of the good feeling I was getting was down to the staff that were all extremely friendly and helpful to a fault. Even a devout British food devotee among our company was accommodated with advice, suggestions and some modified dishes; all to keep the customer happy.
The menu was clear and informative in the three sections to choose from for starters, mains and sweets. Our waitress informed us that their three courses would equate to two well portioned English courses. Though portions were small they were well proportioned for the type of food being served (thus the Tapas comparison). Everything came beautifully presented on pristine square shaped plates with little trios of squares containing the dips which were variously flavoured chutneys. We had ordered Papadums to go with the tempting dips (home made chutneyi three fravours). All was washed down with, appropriately Indian beer; you could choose from a full wine and spirit list. Don't know if they had such a thing as Indian wine but I suppose you could have some Bombay gin.
I can't really fault this restaurant on my one and only visit but next time I'm back in London I'll make a point on going here, try it the food is not like anything you have tried before but, by any measure, delicious.
Prices and Stuff.
The Papadums and Home Made Chutney was only £1.95 with sufficient for 2 or 3 to share. Starters at about £3 or £4, Mains were an average of about £6, or two could share a "tasting dish" at £9.95; so you a can see the prices are quite moderate.
You could enjoy a curry for under a fiver at lunch time and they have other meal deals available during the day. wine prices range for £13.50 to about £20. Have a look at their website www.imli.co.uk.; you will find their full menu with prices and special offers.

Summary: Diffentent dinning experience in great surroundings
