Gallagher's Boxty House: ... RESTUARANT WHERE FOOD TASTES AS IT SHOULD Visited Gallagher s Boxty House on 1rst June 2008 for the first time on my first visit to Dublin but I intend to return to both the city and the restuarant as both are well worth a return visit.I had been in the city for a week and had sampled a number of eating houses before discovering this establishment but if I had found it first I doubt if I would have gone anywhere el...

It was a tad expensive but not more than you would want or expect to pay when on holiday, going somewhere a bit different and special. I like to try places offering specialitites and this boxty is apparently a special dish of Ireland - whole heartedly recommended. ... think that this is one of the best restaurants in the country. The food is absolutely divine and the presentation is as good as you will see anywhere in the world. I visited there recently and was so impressed that I will be having my family reunion there in 2008 d.v. The Chef/Patron Derry Clarke is one of the most accomplished chefs I have ever met and I have no doubt that he would accomodate any requests you would desire. One piece of advice is that you book at least 3 weeks in advance as it is extremely popular with the Dublin business and showbiz clientelle. Reviewed by Guy Romeo DaSilva...
