MY self and my family arrived at jamies yesterday evening and had a very warm welcome, we were shown to our table and offered to order drinks... it was incredibly cold in the restaurant i had to borrow my husbands jacket, the seats are metal and also very cold to sit on... maybe with the price of the bill jamie could afford some cusions.....the food was very bland i sent back my sons meal back and was given a new one which was slightly better, we all felt the food had gone very much down hill since we were there a month ago... this is out third visit and was out favorite place to go when all my family are home and had something to celabrate... i feel that ... Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth has no shortage of Italian chain restaurants, but Jamie's Italian would surely rise above them, wouldn't it? It opened during the bank holiday weekend at the end of May, but we decided to wait until the following weekend to see what Jamie Oliver had to offer. There were going to be five of us, but on looking at the website I noticed that bookings were only taken for parties of eight or more. We decided to meet at 2pm on Sunday and see if we could get a table. I was in Gunwharf soon after 1pm and went to ask at the restaurant if it would be possible to have a table for five at 2pm.
