Jennys is a nationwide cafe/diner company and it is still spreading its chain around the UK.
I first went into a Jennys a few years back, when I was shopping with my mum and sister in Aldershot, Hampshire. We were hungry and saw this restaurant sitting there and thought it might be a nice place to try.
It is located just outside the back entrance of the shopping centre, next to the pound store.
The restaurant wasn't huge, but was a good size with plenty of tables and enough space to walk around without being in anyones way. There were pictures of the food with a name next to it on different parts on the walls, and there was a large menu board on the wall of all the food and prices they had. There was quite a large selection, and it was quite varied.
The staff in the Aldershot branch of Jennys do not take orders at the table, so you have to go to the counter and order what food and drink you would like, and then pay for it at the time of ordering. Other Jennys allow you to order at the table and pay for the food after you have eaten it. When you have placed your order, you are given a table number tab which you place on your table so the waiter or waitress knows where to bring your food.
They do a large selection of all day breakfasts, burgers, chicken dishes, chilli, pastas, chips, sausages and childrens meals. There is also roll meals, curry and salad selections. There really is something for everyone. Drinks you can get include Pepsi, Coffee, Tea, Milkshakes, Juices and much more.
The food is quite good value for money as the meals are quite large and the prices are not huge. The food has always been nice when I have eaten there, although once I did have to send my food back as it was still cold!
I find that the tables and floor are always clean, the staff are mostly polite, although the ones that bring your food to the table don't seem to speak English so they just put down your food and leave!
The Aldershot branch has tables at the side for those who have wheelchairs or push chairs, so they have a bit more room, and there is also out door tables with ash trays for those who wish to smoke.
I recommend this Jennys, as the food is always good and the value for money is great. I have only ever had the one problem with this Restaurant, as described above, but this was sorted quickly and they were very apologetic.
