For two people you can get a meal deal for £7 per person, this includes a starter (try the Onion Bhaji), main meal which includes pilau rice, a curry of your choice (i mistakenly tried the Vindaloo, it truely did live up to the reputation, it was damn hot! The king prawn dishes are tasty) and a vegetable dish as well. Then to top it of you get ice cream for dessert and coffee or tea to finish. Everyone in Manchester would know that for Indian/Pakistani/halal food you go to Rusholme. There are a number of restaurants and delis to choose from when you get there. One such restaurant which offers a good deal is called The Jewel In The Crown.
