If you want to try something different then give it a go

The Kebabish restaurant in Blackburn is situated on Whalley New Road in the Bastwell area of town, less than a mile out of the town centre and close to the Whalley Range Bazaar.

The interior design of the restaurant is modern and vibrant and not overly fussy. The first thing that you notice when you enter is the amazing mouth watering smell, as most of the food is cooked in the same area as the diners. Kebabish is not like most Asian restaurants I have been in because they specialise in grilled dishes (I suppose the name "Kebabish" gives it away a bit), they do serve curries as well.

This restaurant is not licensed, but to be honest my friend and I had had enough grog anyway. I ordered the Mixed Kebab roll which was a mix of chicken and lamb kebabs rolled up in a large nan bread, my friend who is a vegetarian ordered a Paneer Tikka which is an Asian cheese marinated in spices and grilled along with a nan bread. Our dishes arrived piping hot and within 20 minutes of ordering which I think is good as the place was about half full and getting busy. My friend enjoyed his Tikka Paneer and I did too, it was very flavoursome and hard to believe that I was eating curried cheese!, My Kebab was delicious and there was plenty of it too.

Our final bill came to under £20 and that includes 2 diet cokes and coffee, the staff were friendly and efficient. The place had a nice ambiance about it, but most of all - the food is simply delicious, so if you are in Blackburn and fancy something a bit different than your usual kebab then give this place a go.
