Advantages: great taste, chicken specialists,
Disadvantages: greasy/fatty,not great fries
If you even remotely like Chicken, chances are high that you will have been to a KFC restaurant. KFC stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken and was founded in 1952 by Colonel Harland Sanders although the actual idea of KFC chicken was developed in the 1930's. The Colonel found a way to combine 11 herbs and spices with flour to create a 'finger licking' good' coating for the fried chicken.
The first KFC in the UK was opened in 1965 in Preston and now it has over 700 restaurants located all around the UK and Ireland. Some of these being company owned and operated and others franchised. KFC also has restaurants all over the world including India , Asia, South America and Australasia.
Their menu contains a wide variety of mainly Chicken items. These include burgers, original recipe chicken pieces, wraps, salads, sides and desserts. There are also 'buckets' which are combinations of chicken pieces, fries and other sides. Pop corn chicken is another snack type option- small round pieces of chicken shaped like popcorn.
If you love your Chicken this is the place to be. Do bear in mind though the chicken is quite greasy and if you want a low fat option, this is not the best place to go. Also the fries they have I find to be not very tasty but the main pull of this place is their chicken and this is certainly good. The chicken certainly has a unique taste. The other options are also good such as the burgers and wraps. The new 'Snack Box' is also an innovative idea with a little snack for people who may not need something big to eat giving you the option to purchase a piece of chicken/popcorn chicken with fries for £1.99.
Overall its great for Chicken!
Summary: good chicken!
