Advantages: Great tasting, varied meal deals, sexy tasting beans

Disadvantages: Price on sandwiches, chicken pieces sometimes too small

KFC has to be in my top 2 takeaways. The Colonel was definitely onto a winner when he made this chicken.

KFC offers a variety of chicken pieces and meals including, after going on my round the world trip, a very famous multinational bargain bucket which always seemed to be brought up no matter what country I visited.

KFC offers chicken wings, legs, breasts, small popcorn chicken pieces, chicken in rolls, burger and paninis which is a new addition to KFC which I will go into in more detail about later. They also offer side dishes of chips, BBQ beans, coleslaw, corn and salad. The Colonel's chicken is shrouded in mystery as to what herbs and spices are used to make this delicious tasting chicken. As most fast food restaurants offer you can have a small or large meal which basically changes the amount of drink you have or how many more chips are included. As well as for example with the chicken pieces meal you can select 2 or 3 pieces etc. With every meal deal you can choose your drink from a selection of Pepsi, Tango, 7 Up and other restaurants will vary on drinks selection.

Onto the taste ... I can only comment on 3 types of meals - the popcorn chicken meal which is chips, drink and a selection of small chicken bites which are some of the most tasty, makes you want to buy more, chicken pieces I have ever had. Then there is the Colonel's meal which is a variety of 2 pieces of chicken (1 leg and 1 breast), chips and drink which same again make you want to go back for more and sometimes you have to as the pieces of chicken can sometimes be stingy portions as the chips can also.

And then today I have come across a taste sensation which will take the world by storm - the brand new very nice but pretty pricey Italian Chicken Panini which does exactly what it says but is served up with a cheese and sunblush tomato sauce which really gave it flavour. It really was a lovely panini but for £3.49 for the individual sandwich I would say it is slightly overpriced. On the subject of price as of late the prices for a meal are really starting to get out of control. With the Italian Chicken meal if I wanted to go large it would have cost me £4.89 to add the chips and a large drink which is really stretching the purse strings with the current climate.

Overall though KFC is that one a week treat yourself takeaway which, if it has not been tried, please do so as you are missing out. But for a meal for 2 just be aware that you will not come out with much change from a tenner.
