Advantages: Nice chicken

Disadvantages: Not so nice prices and drive-thru system

My experiences with KFC are by no means as regular or as enjoyable as those at McDonalds or Burger King, but overall, the times I have been have been relatively good and the food is certainly very tasty.

I am a huge fan of chicken of all kinds, but do find some of the combinations at KFC to be far from appealing. I am a woman of simple tastes and don't go in for all these meal deals as a rule as there is not often a deal containing everything that I like. So, for the most part, when visiting KFC I will tend to stick to Popcorn chicken, chicken strips, fries and will share a boneless banquet with my husband from time to time. All of these are really high quality and leave you wanting more, but not hungry.

I do find the prices to be a little steep though and really think you should get a bit more than you do in the Popcorn chicken boxes, especially for the money. A large box is not much bigger than the regular box, but the price certainly is. This needs to be looked at, especially as times are hard. The fries, also expensive, are nowhere near the quality of those from Burger King and McDonalds so I would steer clear of them if you can.

The KFC restaurants that I have been in have always been clean and tidy and well laid out. The queuing system is good and the staff seem well trained enough so that you are never really more than 5 minutes away from being served. However, the same cannot be said for the frequently terrible KFC drive-thru system that I encounter with KFC. For some unknown reason, no matter what I seem to order from their drive-thru's, it is just never ready and won't be ready quickly so I have to park up and wait. I'm sorry but I may aswell have gone in if this is going to happen all the time and that is exactly what I have started to do.

As a mother of a 2 year old girl, I believe that the options for her are pretty poor and could certainly learn a thing or two from McDonald's on that score, so we tend to go elsewhere when we have her with us. They are losing out on a huge market for me.

Overall, this is a good place to get fast quality chicken, but don't expect value for money.
