Absolutely rubbish service but yummy food (Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC))

Disadvantages: the worst service ever

I am not reviewing KFC food as such but the quality of their service. When i left school in 1997 i went to work for KFC at Alton Towers. I learned here what the service should be like. While i was working at the alton towers KFC, it was such a busy restaraunt. The queue went in a zig zag fashion from the tills to the door and sometimes especially around 12 ish until about 3 ish the queues would be non stop. However, I felt that we were always polite and couldnt do enough for our customers but at the same time delivered a quick service. If a customer did have a problem with something we were always apologetic and either gave them something for free, refunded the value of one meal, and so on. I have visited many KFCs outside Alton Towers and feel that their service is pathetic to say the least. Last time i visited was one in Stoke-on-Trent, Longton. The queue was approximately 14 people long with approximately 6 cars in the drive through. We were in the queue 35 minutes before we got served. I watched the staff serving and they seemed to pack things very slow even though they had everything already prepared in them chutes for them. Staff behind were just laughing and joking. When the lady infront got served she paid for her meal and the staff member serving her said abruptly "you are going have to wait another 7 minutes!" I was quite shocked, there was no apology and the way he said it was as if he wasnt bothered.
We got served and there was no apology for the time we had waited, then when we went to the car he had forgotten to put something in the bag. I went back in and explained and with out saying a word to me went to get it and slapped it on the side.

I would much prefer McDonalds service every time. These KFC staff should get some training from McDonalds service.

I am giving one star and thats only for the food!
