Advantages: The burgers are deliciously flavoured
Disadvantages: The bargain bucket is far too greasy
KFC's special recipe began as Colonel Harland Sanders' baby in the 1930s, but by the 70s it had grown into such a large business that he so the operation but stayed on to monitor quality and his image is etched into the KFC trademark.
KFC for me is a mixture of perks and disappointments. The bargain bucket chicken is overly greasy and lacks taste, however the variety burger is much better with some better tasting batter so that the chicken doesn't have to be slathered in ketchup to get some taste to it. The best thing I've ever ordered is the Chicken fillet tower. This is a yummy chicken fillet with cheese, ketchup, lettuce and a hash brown.
There are also a few salad options for those attempting to be healthy but this usually consists of a box of lettuce with some chopped fillet chicken. So if you want a tasty but healthy meal, this isn't really the place to go.
There is a new credit crunch menu of 99p snacks available for those days when you need to be cheap, but sadly the taste of this tiny amount of popcorn chicken just leaves me longing more.
The food is usually turned out quickly and efficiently and although the final product is not as glorious as the pictures advertised, overall the quality is much better than that of Burger King or McDonalds.
Summary: 'Finger licking good'
