Advantages: Lots Of Variety. Quick Service. Reasonble Prices. Family Meal Options.

Disadvantages: Not Much Choice Other Than Chicken. No Vegetarian Options.

Kentucky Fried Chicken was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1952, although he had been serving chicken in a restaurant named "Sanders Court & Café" since the 1930's. In fact, his cafe was so succesful that Kentucky Governor Ruby Laffoon granted Sanders the title of honorary Kentucky Colonel in 1936 for helping aid the reputation of the State's cuisine. The "original" recipe still used to this day was thought up be Sanders in 1940. The very first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant was opened in South Salt Lake, Utah by Sanders & Pete Harman. The brand quickly took off & by the 1960's KFC was being sold in over 600 outlets in the U.S.

Today you can eat at a KFC in one of 14,000-plus restaurants which can be found in over 80 countries worldwide. The Colonel's image is still used, however the company is no longer owned by him.

The restauarants themselves serve chicken in a variety of ways. These include pieces of chicken, sandwichs & wraps. They also sell some other items alongside like fries, corn on the cob & coleslaw. According to Wikipedia some countries KFC restaurants even serve Beef, although I have not come across one.

I like eating at KFC. The chicken pieces in the original recipe have their own unique & distinctive flavour. There are also lots of options including different types of sandwich, different meal & bucket options & also spicy options too. The chicken always tastes nice & has a good texture. Somtimes it can be a little greasy, but I like greasy food so this doesn't bother me. I would say that if you're a vegetarian, don't bother. The don't have any decent options for you.

If you're looking for a quick meal or a snack while you're out & about then I would recommend the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. the service is pretty quick & the food is good.
